Plastic Free Day
To raise awareness about the adverse effects of plastic on the environment and to encourage the school community to reduce their plastic consumption, Ramjas School, Pusa Road observed a "Plastic Free Day" on 23 November 2023.The "Plastic Free Day" initiative aimed to eliminate the use of single-use plastic within the school premises. Students, teachers, and staff were motivated to use alternatives such as reusable containers, bottles, and eco-friendly alternatives to plastic items.
Students took an active role by bringing lunch in reusable containers, utilizing refillable water bottles, and also pledged to avoid single-use plastic items such as straws, bags, and cutlery.
